Desserts That Made It In My Tummy – Calgary – 2021 Recap
Ahh, who doesn’t like desserts? Even if you don’t have a sweet tooth, there is always a type of dessert that could satisfy your taste buds (at least I hope that’s true)! When I travel, I like to try as many dessert places as I can. Unfortunately, travel had to stay within Canada this year but I was still able to try some good stuff!

Durian Panna Cotta with Black Sesame Ice-cream & Durian Pancake. If I see durian, I always get! It may not be for everyone but I am a huge fan of durian and I’m glad places are starting to have more items for this wonderous fruit 😛
Oreo Macau Pudding & Black Glutinous Rice with Mango and Coconut Milk. Aside form durian, mangoes are the next best thing for desserts :3

Snowcapz Cafe
We definitely need more shaved iced desserts in Calgary!
Bean Mountain (soybean flour and ricecakes) & Greenie Mountain (matcha), both topped with red bean. They are nice individual portions but also good for sharing if you don’t want to intake too much sugar! For drinks, we got the Milky Matcha and Fruity Peach. I also couldn’t say no to Croffles – when croissant meets waffle!

Here we have some fancy donuts!
We got a half dozen assorted donuts. They were decently sized and pretty flavourful but also sweet so I can really only eat one a day! (Yes, this half dozen was only for me…heh)

Cookies & Cream and Lemon Curd Blueberry. I found that these 2 flavours compliment each other so well for me. When cookies and cream is getting a little heavy and sweet, I have a bit of sourness from lemon curd blueberry and I just go back and forth. It was so hard to make a decision on which bite I wanted last!

Lukes Drug Mart
Their soft serve flavours change from time to time so it’s never the same, but all the ones I’ve tried, I loved. This one was Coconut Lime + Milk twist.

Uzu Taiyaki and Icecream
Asian-inspired flavour soft serve in a taiyaki. What more do you want?!
Their flavours changes from time to time as well, I don’t remember which one this was honestly but I’ve had pandan and ube before too. Fill up the taiyaki with red bean or nutella and top off the icecream with some toppings and you have yourself a cute sweet treat.
